January 15, 1954 - April 26, 2022 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Warren Parmely Peters was born January 15, 1954, to Edythe and Hugh Peters in Morristown, New Jersey. Warren died April 26, 2022, in Portland, Oregon, of natural causes. He grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and Buena Park, California. A graduate of Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton, he attended Loyola Marymount University before joining the Navy in 1981 where he reached the rank of Aviation Storekeeper Petty Officer 2nd Class, with the Helicopter Anti-Submarine Four unit. He served on the USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) and the Inaugural Tour of the USS Carl Vinson during the Persian Gulf War. He was married briefly, left the Navy in 1988, and lived to the San Diego area until he moved back to Orange County in 1996. Warren worked in a variety of positions in the printing industry and for consulting firms managing IT and facilities. He was a Civil War buff from the time he was five and his vast knowledge of that era and military science in general led him to be an ardent pacifist. He will be remembered and missed for his wit, his gruff-grumpy style and tender heart, his kindness to his parents, and his love of cats. Warren was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his sisters Jane Peters (Marjorie McRae) and Kate Peters (Doug Simao) and their children, Ellie McRae, Heather Cuchiara, Katherine Florence, Katherine Scott, Joey Simao, Allee Futterer, Mackenzie Simao, and 10 great nieces and nephews.
