May 15, 1922 - April 26, 2017 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Virginia May Richert passed away peacefully of natural causes on April 26, 2017 at Legacy Meridian Park Hospital, Tualatin, Oregon. Virginia was born May 15, 1922, to Alfred and Cora (Freeman) Minger, in Park Place, Oregon. She was a graduate of Oregon City High School. Virginia married Al Richert September 22, 1942 in Seattle, Washington. She was a bookkeeper for several car dealers in the Oregon City area while Al was serving in the Navy. After World War II, Al and Virginia got started in the building supply and hardware business in Forest Grove, and then Seaside, Oregon. In 1962, they purchased Molalla Builders Supply where she worked side by side with Al until they sold the business in 1979. Her interests included needlepoint, playing Bridge, golf (She was an avid golfer and a member of Arrowhead Golf Club) sports and discussing history and politics. She was also a member of the Molalla United Methodist Church. Virginia is survived by her daughter and son in law Linda McIntire (Dennis), son and daughter in law David (Kimberly) Richert, granddaughters Kelsey Richert and Kaitlyn Richert, and many nieces and nephews. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Minger and Cora Minger, brothers Lawrence Weaver, Harold and Dwight Minger, sisters Irene Cranor, Marguerite Ramsey and Louise Snidow
