Click HERE for directions In Loving Memory Thomas Albert Phillips (October 21, 1926 – June 3, 2017) Thomas A. Phillips passed away at Providence Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. Born to Edward & May Beatrice Phillips. Thomas was the youngest of three brothers. Following his graduation from Washington High School, he did a tour of duty with the U.S. Navy in the final days of WWII. With the war over, Thomas attended Oregon State University, earning a degree in electrical engineering. He went to work for Bonneville Power Administration, earning several meritorious service awards during his tenure. He stayed with BPA until his retirement in 1981. An avid golfer from his teens to past his 90th birthday, Thomas enjoyed tennis, skiing, basketball and table tennis. He was also a bronze level ice skating dancer. He also had a lifelong passion for music, whether it was playing the piano or enjoying his audio tape collection. Thomas liked having a vegetable garden and making homemade applesauce and preserves. He is survived by Phyllis, his wife of 46 years. He is also survived by stepsons Michael R. Wing (Dianne), Brian K. Wing (Denise) and Jeffrey A. Wing; grand-daughters Kendall Wing and Sarah Tull (Tyler) and grandson Robert Wing and great-grandson Connor Wright and many nieces and nephews.
