Tessie Bondoc Ronningen

of Portland Oregon

March 30, 1950 – February 11, 2022

On the evening of February 11, 2022 Tessie passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, after a long battle with diabetes. Tessie was born to Nicholas Capulong and Bernaldina Bondoc on March 30, 1950 in Tarlac, City Philippines. She is the second youngest of 8 children.

After high school Tessie studied Psychology at Osias College. She was part of a family of great musicians and loved to sing. She played in many various locations throughout her lifetime. While performing at Subic Bay Military Base in 1973 she met

Ken Ronningen Sr.  Tessie returned with Ken back to Camp Pendleton where they established their relationship. After marrying, they returned to Klamath Falls Oregon where she continued to pursue her dreams and career of being a singing artist. It was then that the band Freddie Smith and the Cajuns was formed. Tessie traveled with the band to many locations, working hard at her dream and dealing black jack, all the while raising her family. Many years later Tessie moved to Portland Oregon.

Tessie very much enjoyed shopping, traveling, cooking and going to the casinos.

Tessie loved being with her family and friends and always did all she could to love and support them. She will be forever missed by all of the lives that she touched.
