Shirley L. High

Shirley L. High passed peacefully on January 16, 2022.

Shirley was born in Grand Island, Nebraska to Emil and Mary Schleichardt. When she was eight years old, her family moved to Oregon. In 1954, she married Duane High and soon after had two daughters- Debra (High) Walker and Rhonda (High) Bergman.

Shirley loved her family. Cooking for her family brought her great joy. She also loved children. She operated a daycare in her home for many years. Her friends were important to her too. She loved to bowl, play Bunco, Bingo, and Mexican Trains.

She is preceded in death by her husband Duane, her youngest daughter Rhonda, her parents and her three brothers. She is survived by her daughter Debra (High) Walker, grandchildren Candy (Bergman) Shafer, Jeff Bergman, Jennifer Walker, Christina Walker, Leslie (Walker) Livingood as well as nine great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.

May Shirley rest in peace. No funeral or graveside service will be held due to Covid.
