Shirley Laura Feigner

February 6, 1935 – March 7, 2021

Shirley Laura Feigner was born on February 6, 1935 and passed away, trusting in her Lord and the promise of the resurrection on March 7, 2021 at the age of 86.

Shirley was born in Spokane, Washington to Ralph and Pearl Tiffany, and passed her early years in that area. At the age of 15 months she suffered whooping cough followed by measles and nearly died. This cost her her hearing. At the age of 4 she started attending a school for the deaf in Spokane where she began to learn to vocalize and communicate. She joined the Seventh-day Adventist church as an earliteen and then attended church school for several  years.

A little later when her mother starting caring for the elderly in her home, Shirley was a big help to her. She did this for a number of years. Later Shirley moved to College Place, Washington, and shortly after to Portland, Oregon. There she made many friends in the deaf community and regularly attended the Seventh-day Adventist church. In that community she met and married Donald Feigner in 1966. They had no children together. He passed away in 2011 and she lived on her own at Columbia Terrace Retirement community until just a few weeks ago when she passed away, after a stroke, at Marquis Care Mt. Tabor, in Portland, Oregon.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Rose Marie Tiffany, and many nieces and nephews.
