I was so saddened to hear about Ryan. He had the sweetest, kindest, gentlest soul. I first met him when we both worked at he SPARKLE program at the University of Nee Orleans teaching gifted students. He assisted me with the youngest students and was very loving and patient with everyone. Then he came to my class at Jefferson Elementary- I believe he had to do service hours for HS. He demonstrated the same love and patience and even befriended a boy who needed extra support. He continued to write to this boy after he moved away. I hadn’t spoken to him in years, but I’m certain that the same loving, gentleness accompanied him in his nursing career. I know he comforted so many!!!! Ryan sang Beatles songs and played guitar with my students. I can only think of one fitting Beatle song now - “While my guitar gently weeps” - as I pray for comfort for his family!

I was so saddened to hear of Ryan's death. I didn't know him, but I've been friends with his mom, Karen, for many years. I know that he was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

I worked with Ryan for a bit of time. He was always willing to help if I ever needed it. He had been a nurse longer than I had and he took me under wing and provided guidance and reassurance wherever I needed either. He was always so nice and I looked forward to seeing him at work. I’m holding all of his loved ones with tenderness and care.
