Robert Poetzsch

April 29, 1931 – April 14, 2020

Robert was born on April 29, 1931 in Mussbach, Germany. He came to America in 1951 and married Hildegard Koehler in 1953. Served in the Army in 1954-1956. Moved to New York in 1957. Worked for the Airplane manufacturing company, Fairchild Republic for most his life.

In 1960 he started a side company, RP Econo fence which went into the late 70’s. He had a beautiful home on Long Island and a summer home in upstate New York, where we enjoyed many vacations. He moved to Oregon in 2001. Robert lived the American dream to the fullest. His wonderful life’s journey came to a peaceful end April 14, 2020.

He was a good man.  The next journey begins.   Robert is survived by his wife, Hildegard, three sons Robert, Gary, and Richard, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and his sister Helga.

Robert will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery at a later date.
