ROBERT “Bob” H. MILLER

1940-2020

Bob passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 2/25/2020 of natural causes from long term medical conditions.  In his last hours, he was surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Portland, OR to Henry and Elsie (Befus) Miller. He was married to Marlene May Hauge on June 30, 1962. Bob graduated from Benson High in 1959. Marlene and Bob were married for over 57 years.  They bought their first 57 nomad together 57 years ago.

Bob lived in Boring, Oregon for 33 years and then moved up to Brightwood, Oregon for the past 15 years.  He worked at Cascade Corporation for over 39 years.

Prior to that he worked at Bazaar’s for 10 years, Quaker State for 2 years and Barker Manufacturing for 5 years.  He helped start up the NW Nomad Club in 1969 and was president of the club ever since.  He was a member of the Road Knights club since 1963 and was president of that club for several years. He also helped start up the Pacific NW Convertible Club in 1980.

He was a board member for the Chevrolet Nomad Association for 18 years.  He was definitely a car fanatic and loved his cars, car shows and car clubs.  He was heavily involved in the Canby Swap Meet for over 40 years and with the MHRC and the Portland Roadster Show for 57 years.  He helped with many car shows and events over the years.
