Richard graduated from Woodburn High School and enlisted in the Air Force in 1952. Richard met and married Dolores Poole in 1956. They raised their three children in Portland, Oregon. Richard and Dolores were devoted long-time members of the Church at Rockwood. Richard’s philosophy of life was God and family first. He was an avid fisherman who spent many happy hours with family and friends, a fishing pole in hand. Richard is survived by his wife Dolores and three children: his oldest son Brian and his wife Stephanie; his daughter Debi and her husband Bill; and his youngest son, Bruce. He is also survived by five grandsons: Matt and his wife Staci; Nathan and his wife Mercedes; Nick; Zack; and Aaron; and great-granddaughter, Ava. Richard was preceded in death by siblings Wayne, Bonnie, Bill, and Max, and survived by his brother Robert.
