Rattan «Kishore» Kumar Pahalad was born on July 4th, 1956 in Nausori, Fiji to Phil and Kala Pahalad. His siblings include sister Kiron Singh, brother Lawrence Pahalad, sister Joyce Pahalad, and brother Ronald Pahalad. Rattan’s family immigrated to the United States to San Francisco in 1970 when he was 13 years old via The Arcadia ship. They then moved to North Bend, Oregon. Rattan attended North Bend High School and graduated in 1975. A few years later he moved to Portland, where he spent the rest of his life.

Rattan has worked for Nationwide Insurance Company for over 20 years and for Marriott for over 9 years. He carried out his work with much diligence and pride.
Rattan’s favorite hobbies include taking photos, traveling, enjoying various cuisine, spending time with friends and family, helping those in need and much more.

Rattan enjoyed partaking in Church community activities and often visited friends and family members who were ill. He attended prayer meetings on Fridays and is known for his faith and love of God.
Rattan is survived by his daughters, Sanjana Priscilla Mancuso, Rochelle Natasha Pahalad and Rohitasha Evangel Pahalad and his son, Sanjay Ryan Pahalad. His grand children include Shanelle, Shayle, Anthony and Alyssa.

We will see our beloved brother, father, grandfather and friend again through the confidence we have in Jesus Christ’s sacrifice. Until then, Rattan «Kishore» Kumar Pahalad is with us in spirit and in thoughts and memories.
