Randy graduated from David Douglas High School in 1965 and attended Pacific University school of Business Administration 1965-1969, where he also pitched for the college baseball team, until he was drafted into the U.S. Army. Randy was stationed in the 1st Armored Division at Pinder Barracks in Germany from 1969-1971, where he was a member of the 1st Armored Division All-Star Baseball team. Randy worked as a survey manager for Port Services Company 1972-1988 and retired from Nike in Feb 2011, after nearly 13.5 years of service.-Randy lost his battle to non-Hodgkins lymphoma on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the VA Community Living Center in Vancouver, WA. Randy was a beloved son, daddy, papa and brother who leaves behind mother Maxine, daughter Angela, brother Ken and 4 grandchildren: Felicia, Gavriel, Yasha, and Emet.

A memorial service/reception will be held at Athey Creek Christian Fellowship, 27520 SW 95th Ave. Wilsonville, OR 97070 at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Randy will be buried at Willamette National Cemetery in a private family service. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers charitable donation in Randy’s name to one of the following charities that carry on Randy’s spirit: Sports Gift, Special Olympics, C.A.S.T. For Kids, Medical Teams International, Portland Veterans Administration Hospice, Lymphoma Research Foundation.»
