On January 31, 2018, Pablo Sarmiento, 91, of Portland Oregon passed away peacefully at Providence Hospital surrounded by his family.  Pablo was born in Manila Philippines on August 28, 1926.  He was preceded in death by his wife and eldest granddaughter.  Left to cherish his memories are his four sons, five grandchildren and daughter in law.

 

Pablo immigrated to Hawaii before permanently settling in Southeast Portland. He worked as a night auditor at Hilton Hawaiian Village and retired from the Westin Benson Hotel.

A devoted father, Pablo enjoys attending his sons football, basketball and baseball games. He is also a big Portland Trailblazer fan. He gave his sons the priceless gift of living a simple but enjoyable life. Never letting them forget where they came from and to be thankful for what they have.

The family requested a private memorial service.
