While living on Chuuk he first worked as a legal assistant, from 1974 to 1979 he worked as the First Administrator of the Chuuk District. Then from 1980 to 1994 he worked as the Land Commissioner.
Beginning in 1985 until 1994 he attended Beyond the Reef Theological Training Center. In 1995 he came to U.S., settling in Aurora, Oregon. From 1995 to the present he was the Pastor at the Missionary Memorial Church in Aurora, Oregon.
He died Tuesday December 8, 2015 at his son’s home in Vancouver, Washington.

Mitaro S. Danis was born October 17, 1935 in Udot, Chuuk, Federated States of Micronesia to Danis and Pwapwa Pukech. In September of 1952 he was married to Alma Ludwig, who survives him along with their children and grandchildren.
