Marjorie Valeria Wallace was born April 22, 1933 in Vicksburg Mississippi to Ivory Young and Beulah Moore. Marjorie (Margie) moved with her sister Ruth Reed to Portland Oregon and later the other family members followed. Margie attended James Monroe all girls high school in Portland Oregon.

Margie was a home maker, she enjoyed cooking and interior decorating. When Margie was young she loved ice skating, and gymnastics. In her later years she began to love the relaxation of fishing and playing bingo.

Margie received Jesus Christ as her savior and was baptized at the age of 23. She later attended Mt Olivet Baptist Church and was active in the small group BLT ( Building Lives Together)

Preceding her in death is her parents Ivory Young and Beulah Moore. Sister: Shirley Austin, Bro Jo Moore. Her Children daughter Geraldine McDowell-Williams, Marva McDowell, son Stanley McDowell-Reed.

Left behind to cherish her memory loving sister Willie Mae Hart of Portland Oregon, Daughter Velita Hammon(Ira) Iris Munson Wilhelmina Williams, Darlene Wallace, Donna Wallace, Sons John Brown, Anthony Sawyer, and Victor Wallace. She had a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and many other extended family members and friends.
