Kenneth William «Ken» Brooks was born on January 6, 1955 in Portland, Oregon to Jack & Patricia (Shaw) Brooks. He grew up in Gresham, graduating from Sam Barlow High School in 1973 and from Mt. Hood Community College in 1977. He had worked in the administration office at Providence Medical Center for many years. He enjoyed rafting, working in stain glass, gardening, cooking, travel, dogs and spending time at the ocean.

He is survived by his Brothers; Terry, Gary & Mark Brooks, Sister-in-law; Kathy Brooks, Nieces; Jamie Green, Misty Brooks, Amanda Brooks & Emily Brooks and Nephews; Brandon Brooks, Ryan Brooks & Alex Brooks. Great-Nieces, Ashley Anderson,-Allyson Anderson, Great-Nephews, Taylor Brooks, Jarrin Brooks & Skyler
