Judith (Judy) Marlene Johnson Van Tassel

September 30, 1952 – April 16, 2021

Judith (Judy) Marlene Johnson Van Tassel was born September 30, 1952 in Moses Lake, Washington and passed away unexpectedly after heart surgery April 16, 2021 in Portland Oregon.

Judy is survived by her husband, Lorance, of Waitsburg, Washington, sons Kevin of Waitsburg, and Monte, daughter in law Cian, and one baby grand daughter, Emmaline Shea of Bend, Oregon.

Judy is also survived by her 4 brothers, Jim Johnson of Hermiston, Oregon, Jeff Johnson of Milton- Freewater, Oregon, Jerrold Johnson of Hermiston, and Joel Johnson of Ocala, Florida, as well as aunts, uncles, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Dr. Milton James and Wanda Lorraine Johnson of Hermiston, Oregon.

She was universally loved by all of her immediate and extended families which also includes many sisters and brothers-in-law. Her loving sunny positive personality attracted all who knew her; she will be sorely missed by all her numerous family members and friends.

Judy was a member of the Dayton, Washington SDA church, and remained a faithful member all her life. She loved to share her love of God with her beautiful voice, often accompanied by Lorance on his guitar.

Memorial Services will be conducted at the Hermiston, Oregon Seventh-day Adventist Church on June 27, 2021 at 11:00 am to be followed by a graveside service and interment at Hermiston Cemetery.
