Jonathan James McKillip

October 22, 1951 – September 27, 2023

Jonathan James McKillip passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from a cardiac event. Born in Cleveland, Ohio to Richard and Anne McKillip. His childhood was split between Cleveland, Ohio and Salem, Oregon due to family corporate transfers. Worked for Salem area canneries during his college summers processing cherries, beans, and pears. He is survived by wife: Doris McKillip, daughters: Rebecca McKillip (Kelly Wood) & Erin McKillakove (Evan McKillakove). Brother Jeff McKillip (Donna Hepp) and sister Megan Buczynski. Graduated Linfield College in 1973 with a B.A. in Business Administration & Political Science, with a minor in English. A career in the financial services – primarily in the Credit Union industry. His hobbies were playing the piano, collecting CDs, writing, gardening, and walking. Volunteered for Blanket Coverage – a Christian based street ministry and soup kitchen and was a part-time church pianist.
