Greg died peacefully at his home on April 2, 2013, about one month after being diagnosed with multiple forms

of cancer.

Greg was born at Emanuel Hospital in Portland, OR on July 9, 1932 to Leo and Mildred Jacques. He attended Benson High School and graduated in 1950. In 1950 he also met the love of his life, Rita Schwarm on a blind date. They were married in 1955 and spent 58 years together as husband and wife.

After serving in the US Air force during the Korean conflict, Greg worked for many years in the optical business as a dispenser as a dispenser and as a lab technician. He was an avid bowler and bowled one perfect 300 game in

league sanctioned play.

Greg is survived by his wife Rita, sons Doug and Chris, son-in-law Tom, granddaughters Brandi, Brittani and Amy, and great-granddaughter Autumn.

A service in his honor will be held at 3:00 pm April 12, 2013 at

Willamette National Cemetery.
