GORDON LEE BELIN

6 May 1941  –  29 March 2021

On the afternoon of March 29th, Lee passed away at his home following a short hospitalization.

Family gathered on the 27th of March to share memories and express their feelings, after which he quickly faded.

Lee was born in San Diego CA, the first son of Merwin and Gladys Cook Belin. He was raised in Phoenix and later in Norwalk CA. In 1959, he enlisted in the U.S.Navy, performing as an engine man on troop transport ships, crossing the Pacific Ocean multiple times. Following discharge he worked as a machinist, in law enforcement and in security. Lee enjoyed rebuilding cars and engines, and chemistry. His favorite hobby was fireworks, becoming involved in a national organization and the annual firework shows and displays. Retirement was enjoyed at his rural residence, his dog Jackie, going on long road trip as well as multiple cruises.

Lee is preceded in death by his younger brother, Glenn in 1976, and his parents. He is survived by his wife, Priscilla, three children from a prior marriage: Darren, Leland and Traci

Adams Belin. They presented him with nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. He also is survived by four step-children: Susan Kauth, Gregory, Thomas, and Christopher Peterson, and six grandchildren. All of the above will miss him.

No services are planned. Interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery.
