Gertrude graduated from Columbia High School in Columbia, Louisiana. Gertrude met and married Sgt Alvin Adams while working as a civilian at Camp Claybourne Army Base in Louisiana. Gertrude and Alvin along with their two daughters relocated to Portland, Oregon in the mid 40’s where they added another daughter. Gertrude is survived by daughters Barbara, Anne and Linda, Grandchildren William, Kelly, Jason, Colby and Anna, and Great Grandchildren Madelyn, Chase and Clara. We will miss that beautiful redhead with the beautiful smile.
