Gary Lee Kranz, owner and President of Western Dynamics, Inc., passed away Jan. 30, 2012, after a long battle with cancer.-Gary was well known as one of the most knowledgeable hydraulic designers and consultants in the hydraulic industry.-He was born in Redlands, CA. on Dec. 11, 1945 and grew up in San Diego, CA.-As a young man, Gary served in the U. S. Navy from 1964 through 1968.-He has made his home in Portland, OR for the last 25 years.

When Gary was not involved with work, he enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandsons. Some of his other past times were fishing, hunting, camping and traveling with his dogs.

He is survived by his first wife and long-time friend Texann Niedzwiecki; his daughter, Barbara L. Kranz-Schrenk; his daughter and son-in-law Shirley L. and Jim H. Edison; grandsons, Howie and Heath Edison; and his two loving dogs, Sara and Rim.
