Unfortunately just today I found out the sad news of Gary passing away last December. Gary was very inspirational to me, both in the family life and professional life. He took me golfing on Friday after work when I had no idea how to even play golf. We had several great times together out for dinner or on award trips from work. This is just who Gary was, everybody got an opportunity from him at any time even on a Friday afternoon. His devotion to his family impacted me as I grew older, while his professional life always showed his honest and respectful side as well. Gary we will miss you dearly and we hope you rest in peace deservingly.

Gary will be missed and not easily forgotten. His reputation in the lumber industry is legendary. Always honest and direct in his dealings with his partners and coworkers. He was such a fine family man. I am wishing his family the best as they lay Gary to rest today. I’m sure that they all will be proudly celebrating the life that he lived today. Gary and his family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Beth and family: I am truly sorry to hear about Gary. I know it has been a long time since we have seen each other, but Gary (and you, of course) always had a fond spot in our hearts. I believe the last time we saw you both was at Applebee's Restaurant on Kruse Way in Lake Oswego, many years ago. I know Bill enjoyed working with Gary, and I am sorry we never kept in touch. I believe you know I lost Bill in September of 2016, so maybe he and Gary can now share old times. Take care, and please feel free to contact me if you ever need to talk. Many hugs, Molly Dahms.

Dear Beth and family, I was so very sorry to read of Gary’s passing. I’ve always held a very special place in my heart and memories of you all. Especially when dad took me to see Gary at the sports shop and buying me my first set of skis, boots and poles! A memory so fond and special. Our most sincere condolences to you all. Our hearts and prayers are with you during this difficult time in your lives. I don’t have your address or number. If you care to share, I sure would like that.
