On December 12th, our beloved Gary left us wishing for more time with him. He passed away peacefully at home with his family. Gary was a family man who enjoyed his sons and grandchildren.
A huge sports fan, he coached his son’s baseball teams until they entered high school. He attended nearly every performance or game that his grandchildren were involved in. Gary was not a college graduate, but he loved his Ducks. He was kind and fun and OH that smile. Gary enjoyed card games, board games, vacations, fishing and golf with his friends and family. He was also a successful and respected lumber trader in the Portland area for 41 years. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Thomas, and his sister Shannon Lewand. He is survived by Beth his devoted wife of 57 years, his loving sons, Scott (Susan), Tyce, Chris and niece Cassy who came to live with us at the age of 14. Gary’s grandchildren brough him great joy. He loved them all. Zach, Kylie, Ally, Jett, Max, Maddi, Emmy. Lilly and Oskar. His passing will truly leave big holes in our hearts and lives. Due to the times we are in, Gary’s celebration will be held with family.
