Fay Lydia Morgan

February 7, 1957 – March 25, 2025

It’s with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Fay Lydia Morgan on 3/25/2025 at the age of 68.

Fay was born in Oakland, California on 2/7/1957 to Arthur and Lillian Morgan. She grew up in Berkely, California with her older brother, Arthur. She moved to Eugene, Oregon after high school to pursue her college education where she attended University of Oregon, graduating at the head of her class in 1978. Her first daughter, Olivia, was born 1983. Following her move to Portland, she went on to have her second daughter, Janet in 1985, son – Kipp in 1992, daughter- Carol in 1993 and son – Lance in 1996.

Fay had many skills and held a variety of different jobs to include PPS teacher’s assistant and trusted “neighborhood Mom” until she found her career in tax service.  She went on to devote more than 25 years to the Internal Revenue Service in downtown Portland.

Her hobbies included swimming, writing, cooking, gardening, and traveling. Fay traveled the world, starting in her childhood years. She acquired a diverse pallet for food a broad view on life, that she shared with her family. Her passion and greatest accomplishments were those of her family.

Fay loved life and her family deeply. She always put family first and instilled that mindset in each of her children and grandchildren. She was a proud Grandmother to Michael, Sky, Amirah, Summer, and Sierra. She enjoyed telling stories of her life and listening to the stories of her important people’s lives. She was forever loving and supportive, through every situation. She was the kindest person.

While her legacy lives on in her children and grandchildren, she will be forever missed by everyone who was fortunate to know her. Fay is proceeded in death by her youngest daughter, Carol.
