November 1, 1927 - January 8, 2019 Burial Date February 2, 2019 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Eva Alamillo De Ríos was born to her father Sabino Alamillo and mother Eloisa Chavez De Alamillo in Aguijita, Coahuila Mexico on November first 1927. Eva moved to Piedra’s Negras, Coahuila Mexico as a child. She lived there until she was 28 when she moved to America. Eva’s father was raised by his mother Juanita Alamillo who would come to visit Eva from Aguijita and was Eva’s only known living grandparent. Eva grew up going to visit her maternal aunt in Eagle Pass Texas where she fell in love with how beautiful America was. Eva grew up in poverty, and she was the oldest child. She left school and was in charge of working, cleaning, and caring for her nine siblings. She lost three brothers and two sisters who all died around age one. In high school she loved working in her uncle’s store operating the cash register. Eva won a beauty pageant. She enjoyed going to dances and the movies. At age 19 Eva went to the movies and met her husband Eduardo Ríos. He was from Texas, but he was temporarily living in her Colonia Buena Vista in Piedras Negras. Her husband was an American citizen. She married him and had four children Abelardo, Socorro, Jesus, and Jose in Mexico. They moved to the United States in 1956 as migrant workers traveling all over Mexico, Texas, Arizona, California, Oregon, and Idaho living in harsh conditions. She gave birth to her fifth child Felipe in Wieser Idaho. Eva also worked in a potatoe factory Oreida. Eva loved her children and watched them grow up into adult hood and become parents. Eva moved to Eagle Pass Texas to come help her daughter Socorro who just had a baby Marily. In September 1985 they moved to Portland Oregon to live with her son Jesus Rios. Portland was Eva’s home for thirty-five years where she continued to live with her two children Jesus and Socorro. Where she raised her grand daughter Marily. Eva later helped Marily care for her two children, Eva’s great grand children Felix Phou Rios-Sanady and Eva Sky Rios-Ye until she passed. Eva passed away in her sleep at Providence Hospital urgent care on Jan 8th 2019 at 10:27 am at the age of 91 surrounded by loved ones. Eva is survived by her five children Abelardo, Socorro, Jesus, Jose, and Felipe, her 7 grand children John Michael, Christina, Steven, Marily, Lisa, Lacey, and Ariel, and her 7 great grand children Marcus, Helena, James, Elliot, Jonah, Felix, and Eva. Eva loved the word of God, sewing, caring for children, taking walks, reading, movies, cooking, and being active. Eva was shy but the sweetest, most kind, hard working, supportive, and loving woman.
