Ernie is the reason i’m standing at my easel 62 years later. He gave me the ability to see the color of my shadow.

I knew "Uncle Ernie" while he lived in Hawaii. He was working and supervising my father who had just recently graduated from the University of Hawaii Manoa in the mid to late 60's. Uncle Ernie lived in a wonderfully beautiful and eclectic home with his two French poodles and would host amazing parties there. He offered my mom and dad a lot of support and encouragement in thinking ahead and taking risks in the real estate market. Thanks to his advice which my father still echoes to this day, my parents were able to purchase their current home and are so grateful for Ernie's advice. We all will miss his wit and laughter. How he so kindly treated everyone. He was truly one of a kind. The Won family sends their collective condolences to his family. Aloha Oe Uncle Ernie, I'm sure heaven is a bit more flamboyant now with you up there.

Uncle E was a very gracious and giving individual. He lived his life the way he wanted to and on his own terms. He was never dull and always exciting. And always late wherever he went. You will missed Uncle E.
