Ellen Marie Watson, 77 of Portland, Oregon died among family members on October 15, 2020 of heart failure.

Mrs. Watson was born July 15, 1943 in Portland, Oregon. She is the second of four daughters to the late Eugene and Lois Mann. She graduated Madison High School in 1962 and went on to obtain her beautician’s license. Ellen married Bruce Watson on May 2, 1964 in Portland, Oregon. Ellen was a dedicated wife and homemaker who raised 4 children. She provided in-home child care and was a leader in Vacation Bible School. She was a lifelong Christian and member of Grace Baptist Church and Abundant Life Church in Portland, Oregon. Ellen enjoyed cross-stitch, crochet, knitting, sewing, reading, jigsaw puzzles, digital mahjong, and word search puzzles. She also enjoyed collecting things like strawberry decor for her kitchen, teacups, spoons, and thimbles. Ellen participated in and embraced the friendship of a church knitting group that donates blankets for newborns.

Ellen is survived by her younger sisters: Linda Bergen & Kathy Smeraglio; her children: Eugene & Sheila Watson, Janice & Bryan Edwards, Jason & Jacqui Watson, and Christopher Watson; 14 grand-children, and 5 great grand-children.

Ellen is preceded in death by her husband: Bruce Watson April 10, 2013; her parents: Eugene Mann, June 30, 2001 & Lois Mann, November 4, 2005; her sister: Nancy Mann, December 15, 2003; her grand-daughter Marisha Edwards, January 5th, 2002; and her grand-son Patrick Kozakiewicz, July 10, 2018.

Private burial at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. In lieu of flowers please donate to American Heart Association or give blood to American Red Cross.
