He was survived by his wife Adilene Fay of 33 years, and his son Damien Wolf Fay of 4 years.

He was a son, a brother, uncle, cousin, husband, and a friend to many. He was Catholic man, devoted to the Lord, our Savior. Elijah was a funny, devoted, happy, outgoing, loyal, bright, caring, and wise man.

Elijah grew up in Tijuana, Mexico in his early childhood years. He moved to San Diego while his dad was stationed in the Navy. Later he was brought to Portland, Oregon.

He attended Park Rose High school and he was on the varsity soccer team; he graduated in 2005.

At 5 years old Elijah started boxing. At the age of 9 he started mixed martial arts. During high school he was persuaded into martial arts and became a professional Martial Arts fighter and was associated with Team Quest.  Elijah loved to fight and was a dedicated fighter. He became known as “El Lobo” and was proficient in kick boxing, Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Taekwondo, and Karate. He was awarded various championship belts and trophies throughout his mixed martial arts career. Ladies and gentlemen “El Lobo terrible” like he used to say.

While growing up Elijah was influential to his nieces and nephews; they will always remember him taking them to the gas station to grab snacks and watch Adventure Time.  Elijah enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends.

He attended Portland Community College to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice.

Elijah was a mentor, bartender, family man and a man of Christ. He was very devoted to spreading the word of God. Elijah was a preacher that served his community by going out to the streets to preach the word of God to those in need.

Elijah loved to cook all sorts of foods especially Mexican food. He loved listening to music especially Mariachi music and Gospel. “Que se amargen los Limones” he said. When he felt happy, and nothing would bring him down.

Elijah met Adilene at the Portland Airport while working for Beaverton Bakery Cafe in 2010 and have been together since.

On August 2014, Elijah proposed to his now wife, Adilene on the beach in Seaside, Oregon. They were married on May 20th, 2017.

Elijah was a man of God, he was baptized, had his confirmation and was married in the Catholic church.

Elijah leaves a deep hole in our heart. Family celebrations will not be the same without him. He was the light in the room with his silly jokes, dances and laughter.

Elijah left us too soon.

We will not get your calls to ask us what we are doing; we will not see you walking through the door; we will not hear you say “put some music on”.

Elijah will live forever in our hearts, he will be behind every smile, every beautiful sunrise, and every beautiful sunset. Until we meet again.

In your loving memory Elijah L. Fay “El Lobo”

“Be Water, My Friend.

Empty your mind.
Be formless, shapeless, like water.
You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup.
You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle.
You put it into a teapot, it becomes the teapot.
Now water can flow or it can crash.
Be water, my friend.”
