Memorial Services will be held Saturday, August 7th, 2021 at Omega Funeral & Cremation Service, 223 SE 122nd Avenue, Portland, Oregon at 1:00PM.

Repass following the memorial service to be held at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 4927 NE 55th Ave, Portland, OR 97218.

Earlene Armstrong Parker was born on September 13, 1926 in Frogville, Oklahoma to Allen Armstrong and Elsie Epps.  She is one 14 children from 2 separate marriages of Allen and Elsie.

At 4yrs of age, Allen and Elsie moved their family to Dirks Arkansas, where she attended elementary school.  At the age of 14, Earlene moved to Milwaukie, Wisconsin where she attended Jr and High school.  As as a young adult, she and her cousin and best friend Bessie Kendall lived in Chicag, Ill… they later moved to California, from there, Earlene moved to Oregon where she met and eventually married her husband of 20 plus years Lawrence D Parker.  They moved to Denver, Colorado and raised 4 children.  After his death in 1982, Earlene returned to Oregon where she lived and enjoyed her retirement years fishing, Bingo a good game of Dominoes and watching sports.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her 3 daughters: Laurencetta Hawkins/ Auburn, WA… Margarita Parker/ Aurora, Co… Bernadette Miller and her only son Ricky D. Parker/ Portland, Ore.  7 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grands and 2 GGGrands.  Her beloved sister Nettie Ruth Jones/ Seattle, Wa and half sisters Debra and Shirley Brown.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings:Mac Neal, John Wesley, Corrine, Laura, Tommie Alice,  Alvin, twins Ray Chester and Sylvester Armstrong, Robert D. Perry; infants, Sir Walter Parker and James Allen Jefferies Jr.

The family of Earlene Armstrong Parker express their gratitude and heartfelt thanks to all for their thoughts, prayers and condolences during their time of loss.  May God bless each of you for your kindness.
