Dennis Yamnitsky, aged 60, died unexpectedly on January 28th, 2018.  He is survived by his two children Alli, 23 and Chris, 21; his cousin Tom Perry & family; and his uncles Larry Perry and Donald Rodoni. He is predeceased by many aunts and uncles; his mother Jacqueline Yamnitsky; and his father Raymond Yamnitsky.

Dennis was born November 6th, 1957 to Jacqueline and Raymond in Emeryville, California. He attended Dublin High School and Merced College before pursuing more adventurous endeavors at Yosemite National Park. In the Park, Dennis moved from dishwasher in the Ahwahnee Lodge up to maitre d’ among the various other positions he held. In 1986 he moved to Timberline Lodge where he was the maitre d’ of the Cascade Dining Room and in 1990 began working at the Oswego Lake Country Club as Food & Beverage Manager before becoming the General Manager.  After being at OLCC for over 20 years, Dennis pursued more avenues with the Portland Yacht Club and finally the Brickyard Public House.

An avid skier, hiker, biker, climber, runner, mountaineer, and what some would consider a golfer, Dennis was always on the move.  His energetic personality and spirited take on life allowed for him to meet people everywhere and anywhere he went.  He is remembered for his cowbell and bongo solos, his outgoing personality, and his ever present desire to serve others as was evident by the success in his career.
