Daniel Leo Caswell

May 25, 1951-March 15, 2020

Daniel “Dan” Leo Caswell, 68 of East Portland, Oregon, passed away from a heart condition on Sunday March 15, 2020 peacefully in his sleep, comforted by his wife Theresa.

Daniel was born in Portland, Oregon to Leroy Ralph Caswell and Josephine Marie Caswell.  He was raised in a caring and Christian home.  He graduated from Reynolds High School in 1969 and joined the Army in 1970, serving in Vietnam.

Daniel loved music, listening to music was his favorite pastime to do, anywhere he was.  He would tell his corny jokes and make everyone laugh.  He would brighten up your day. He would go out of his way to help, friends, family, and anyone who needed help.

Daniel was married to Theresa A. Caswell Irwin on January 9, 1990 in Vancouver, WA, they were married for 30 years.

Daniel loved cars and driving.  Many jobs were related to driving from Portland Auto Auction, Thrifty Airport Shuttle Driver, Logistics driver and several other delivery driving.

Daniel is survived by his wife Theresa Ann (Irwin) Caswell, son Benjamin Caswell, Grandson Brandon, stepson Greg Irwin, granddaughter Rylee, stepdaughter Trisha Egbert, grandson Sean-Luc , his mother Josephine Marie, 2 brothers Larry Caswell & Ed Caswell.  Numerous nieces and nephews, and the rest of extended family and friends.

Daniel is preceded in death by his grandparents Caswell and Davis, his father Leroy R. Caswell, Sister Eva and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral service and celebration of life will be in May and it will be posted.

In lieu of flowers, cards and donations may be given to family.
