On July 16th 2018 Carol Marlene Mapes passed away peacefully at Providence Hospital in Portland Oregon. She was 66 years of age. Carol was the 3rd child and first daughter of Betty Arline and Isaac Penner.  Carol was a loving and gentle soul who married her high school sweet heart Michael Mapes. They remained married and in love throughout their lives. Carol is survived by her brother Martin and sisters; Jeannie, Annetta, and Ronda.

Service is July 30th at 1 p.m. at Omega Funeral & Cremation Services at 223 SE 122nd Ave. Portland Or. 97233.  Reception to follow at the home of Simon and Ronda. Private inurnment will be at Willamette National Cemetery.
