Bradley “Brad” L. Fullerton


Bradley L. (Brad) Fullerton, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully at home on September 9, 2018 surrounded by family at age 89.

Brad was born May 16, 1929 to Belle and Alfred Fullerton in Dayton, Washington. A family move to Portland enabled Brad to attend Benson High School where he played basketball and years later was inducted into Benson’s basketball Hall Of Fame and the PIL Hall of Fame. Brad enjoyed fishing and hunting and with friends started a duck hunting club near Woodland, Washington in the 1960’s which survives today.

Brad traveled to Alaska and the Yukon several times to hunt and on one such trip bagged a big horn sheep. Along with his love of golf Brad was an avid Oregon Duck fan.

After graduating from Oregon in 1951, Brad started working in the heavy equipment business. He worked for Halton Tractor for 32 years in a career that ranged from traveling salesman to Longview, Washington store manager and Logging Sales Manager in Portland. Brad married, Mercedes, the love of his life in 1970.

He is survived by sons Bradley Fullerton, Kelly Fullerton (Ingrid), stepson, William Harmon, stepdaughter Shelley Popia (Steve) 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. At Brad’s request a private family memorial was held. We ask that you take a moment to remember a fun time you spent with Brad.
