On October 14, 2016, Barbara Jean O’Halloran passed away after battling a long illness. She was born Barbara Huizar in Houston, Texas on Jan.6.1945. In 1949 she moved with her mother and sisters to New Orleans, where she was raised in and around the French Quarter, She was very much, all her life, a New Orleans girl at heart. She married Eugene Fuller in that city in the mid 1960’s and was tragically widowed in 1974. She met Timothy S O’Halloran in 1978 and moved with him to Portland, Oregon, where they were married, raised their children, and where she lived the rest of her life.
Barbara was a wonderfully strong willed woman, with a sharp wit and beautiful smile. She possessed a caring and generous soul, and always made time for anyone who might need a sympathetic ear, an encouraging word or a hot plate of red beans and rice. She was much loved, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Barbara is survived by her husband Tim. children David Fuller, Daniel O’Halloran, Jessica O’Halloran and Tim John O’Halloran; grandsons Josh, C.J. and Adrian, and her sisters Diane and Sylvia
