Virginia Egan-Montrose

October 30, 1940 – January 28, 2023

On Saturday January 28th, our beautiful Virginia passed away at age 82 in Portland, OR with family at her side.

Born to James and Charlotte Egan on October 30, 1940  in New York. Virginia is one of ten siblings.

Virginia attended Saint Anselm’s Catholic School for 8 years. She started working at an early age at St. Francis Hospital. This was the beginning of her life long passion for taking care of others. She loved music, especially oldies from the 50’s and 60’s, dancing, knitting and playing Bingo. Virginia was known for baking cakes & cookies. She made cakes for all the birthdays and there were always cakes & cookies for all holidays and family gatherings.

Virginia gave birth to five beautiful children, Faith, Esther, Gregory, Victor, and Eric and raised her grandson Jason.

She moved to California in 1980 where she resided until moving to Oregon in 2005.

She loved Oregon, making a comfortable life for herself and made many dear friends.

Virginia is survived by siblings Fredrick, Ursula, Christine, and Celeste and many grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Virginia is preceded in death by parents James and Charlotte. Brothers Jimmy, Gregory, Eric, Ralph, and Lawrence. Her beloved son, Gregory.
