IN MEMORY OF TROY CONLEE

Troy Conlee passed away from natural causes at his home in Portland OR on August 8, 2021.  He was born in Centralia WA and grew up in Portland OR, attending Alameda Grade School, Beaumont Middle School and Benson High School.  He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 100 and attained Star rank. After graduating from high school, he joined and served honorably in the US Army. After completing his Army service, he attended and graduated from Clackamas Community College and subsequently received his Bachelor of Science degree from Portland State University.

Troy loved nature and outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, landscaping, and white-water rafting with his parents and brothers. Two of his treasured recreational accomplishments were climbing Mt Hood with his father and others from Boy Scout Troop 100 and self-manning his raft down the mighty Colorado River through the Grand Canyon with a group of college classmates.  His golden retriever, Duke, was his loved and trusted companion for many years. Troy also had a creative side and excelled in creating outstanding photography and enjoyed sketching with pencils.  He loved music and the arts and had an inquisitive and analytical mind, generally striving for perfection. He was an avid reader and always enjoyed completing a crossword, sudoku or a jigsaw puzzle.  Troy will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland OR at a future date with military honors.

He is survived by his parents Larry and Juanita Conlee, brothers Jason Conlee and Joel (Cara) Conlee, Linda Conlee, nephew Hayden Conlee, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

We will always love Troy.
