Tod Michael Davis, 59, of Portland Oregon, passed away on August 5, 2023 after a long battle with Congestive Heart Failure and Type 2 Diabetes.

Tod was born on March 31, 1964 to Carol & John in Portland. He graduated from Dunsmuir High School (California) in 1982 where he played football and loved his shop class.  Tod joined the NAVY following his father, two uncles & cousin.  He spent all his remaining years in the Portland Area.

Tod is survived by his Mother, Carol Brachman, Father John Davis and Brother’s Ryan Davis & Brad Davis and loving & devoted cat Cazzi. Tod loved helping people especially elderly and enjoyed making little tri-cycles and scooters for neighborhood kids.

Tod’s love of auto’s started in High School when Tod bought his first car, a Pontiac Grand Prix, which he washed & waxed constantly.  Many of his high school friends remember reaching over 100mph in Tod’s car for their first experience going that fast.  Tod’s love for racing began in his early teens attending motor cross races at Washougal MX Park, first being a corner flagger but eventually as a participant when he bought his first dirt bike.

Tod’s obsession with racing extended into NHRA Drag racing & Indy Car racing attending all races in the Pacific NW for over 35 years.  His most favorite drivers included Mario & Michael Andretti and Tod could even be found in the Pits when the teams came to race in Portland.  Mario would actually call out Tod by name and invite him into his pit area to say hi.

In 1996 Tod talked his brother into joining the Portland Karting Association and began the Davis Brother’s Racing Team where he performed among the top racers for the next 8 years. Tod’s ability to set up his two karts and obtain the highest performance from the 100cc Yamaha racing motor was his passion.  Tod was an amazing driver racing on the edge always wanting to be at the front where he could take the checkered flag, highlighted by taking 1st place in 1999.

For those that new Tod well would find him spending time with his cats Luppe & Cazzi, racing his simulator and flipping the channel between Indy, NASCAR, F1 & NHRA Drag racing.  In recent years, he also loved watching his favorite girl’s softball team from the New Orleans area participating in the Portland Area tournaments.

A Celebration of Life was held at Round Table Pizza on August 25th where Tod enjoyed so many wonderful meals together with his family & friends.
