Susan Renee Kloster, 61, of Milwaukie, Oregon passed away from cancer on June 19, 2019 surrounded by her loving daughter Lacey and husband Buddy.

Susan was born in Corvallis, Oregon while her father was attending Oregon State University.  She was the third of five children.  She attended Rex Putnam High school in Milwaukie and later received a Bachelors degree from Marylhurst University.

Susan was married to William “Buddy” Kloster on December 3, 1983 in Milwaukie; they were married for 35 years.  She and Buddy had one daughter, Lacey Kloster, on October 9, 1991.

She had a long career as a Technical Writer, working her last 16 years at Mentor Graphics in Wilsonville before retiring in 2015.  After retiring in 2015, she continued to contract with clients through her own business ‘Write On Documentation’.

She was very active and loved to be outside whether it was kayaking, biking, hiking, or cross-country skiing.  Her first love was bicycling and she rode in many rides including Cycle Oregon, Reach the Beach, MS150, Summit to Surf and numerous others.  She was a certified yoga teacher and frequently volunteered as a yoga teacher with Living Yoga after she retired.

Susan was also a lifelong cat-lover and had two beloved grand-kitties: Mango and Luna.

Since retiring, she traveled with her friend Molly to Mexico, Germany, Italy, New Orleans, and drove the Alaskan highway pulling a teardrop trailer.  When she was at home she traveled with her husband Buddy in their motorhome to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington, Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, Idaho, Montana and all over Oregon.  She loved to travel.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents, Diane Randall and Stanley Pelster and her brother, Ted Pelster.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on July 27, 2019 at Clackamas United Church of Christ located at 15303 SE Webster Road, Milwaukie, OR  97267.
