August 22, 1962 - June 8, 2025 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Stewart Alexander Hamilton was born in Encino, California in 1962. The family moved to Dana Point, California in 1963, when it was still simply orange groves and ocean cliffs. He loved the water and surfed and swam most days as he was growing up. He graduated from Dana Point High School in 1980, then volunteered for the army, where he served with distinction. He then studied at Humboldt State College and received a Bachelor of Science in Water Resource Management. The army had trained him to be a respiratory therapist, which he chose as his career, and he worked as a traveling therapist at hospitals in Northern California, Oregon and Washington state. He loved to fish in the Umpqua River and lived in homes close to the river. Stewart had an immense joie de vivre and was beloved by many. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hamilton, his sister, Kim Hamilton, a brother, Ross Hamilton, and two children, Ryan Hamilton and Sarah Akemi. Stewart A. Hamilton
