January 24, 1945 - November 19, 2023 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Sherry was born in Missoula, MT, on January 24, 1945, and grew up on a farm on the Rattlesnake Creek. She was born to her parents Fred Hill, and Clara Hill, the youngest of her three siblings, with two brothers Butch and Denny Hill. Sherry graduated from Missoula County High School. Sherry worked as the Parts Supply Administrator at Leatherman Tool for 30 years. She enjoyed going to the coast with her family; spending time at the alpine slides on Mt. Hood; and watching bull riding. She took pride in her creative skills making crochet towels and wash rags, that she gifted to everyone she knew, as well as cultivating a vegetable and fruit garden. She even provided pumpkins to kindergartners at the local elementary school for many years for Halloween. Additionally, she took pride in the fantastical wonderland that she created in front of her house with fun figurines and colorful decorations to bring joy to children and anyone passing by. In her early years Sherry was unstoppable. She was a golden glove boxer, bull rider and bronco rider. She was always active and full of life and when she had her children, she instilled that quality in them. She played softball with local teams, and enjoyed camping, biking, and doing anything out in nature. She longed to return to her roots in Montana. Sherry thrived on helping others and loved animals. She was known in her later years to feed the stray cats, adopting at least three of them and later became a foster parent for the local Humane Society. Sherry is survived by her dear friend Victor Baldwin, her two daughters Starr Winborne-Smith, and Spring Hillhouse, and her grandchildren Charity Waters, Sierra Waters, and Jordan Winborne, along with her brother Denny Hill, and multiple other friends and near family members. Sherry was preceded in death by her mother Clara Hill, her father Fred Hill, and her brother Butch Hill. A celebration of her life will be held at her home. The date and time will be determined later. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local animal shelter or humane society in her name.
