I'm thinking of all of her family and friends as you celebrate her amazing life and the wonderful times you shared with her. I know how much she was loved.

What a wonderful life! Ruth reminded me so much of my own mother. Strong, independent, talented and steadfastly loyal to family and faith. It has been an honor to have known her. When her daughter Carol and I met in high school, her father Dave Petrasso was my band leader. I spent overnights at their house and realized very soon that Ruth made her home a place of love and music. I will never forget feeling amazed at the talent that was displayed by every person in the family as they would all play multiple instruments and have a virtual concert. Such a lovely person and gifted teacher. Mrs. Petrasso knew my mother from church and took time to speak to her and to me when I was visiting Summerplace. We were there one day when her student gave a recital in the dining hall. He was well schooled and she beamed with pride at his achievement. So sweet.
