Ronald Leroy Lewis,

affectionately known as Pops,

Papa, and Big Ron, passed away on January 11, 2024, in Portland, Oregon, at the age of 68. He was born on January 11, 1956, in Portland, Oregon. Pops was a beloved figure in his community and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Pops was the most kindhearted person on the planet. He loved his family and friends with all his heart and could always be counted on to help anyone at any time. His larger-than-life laugh smile, and spirit will be dearly missed by everyone who had the privilege of crossing paths with him.

Pops is survived by his daughters Tanya Rohrs and Nakimerah Cesear, his sons Alonzo Roper and Ezekiel Dotsey, and his beloved 14 grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sisters Susan, Cynthia, and Patricia; his brother Gary Sr.; his nephews R. Drake, Gabriel Sr., and Gary Jr.; and his nieces Erika, Melissa, Albany, and Chalise,

Additionally, he is survived by his Best-Friend Lydia Dotsey-Kennedy and a host of extended family and friends, all of whom meant so much to him.

Pops was preceded in death by his mother Gladys Lewis and his father Claude Lewis and his grandson Derrell Simpson Il.

Pops was a passionate individual who dedicated his life to caring for others. He was the owner and operator of Circle of Life, a home healthcare facility for disabled adults. He also volunteered at his local food bank and mentored at-risk youth in his community. Pops’ selflessness and dedication to helping others will always be remembered.

In his free time, Pops enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing, sightseeing, and driving and volunteering.

These hobbies brought him joy and allowed him to unwind from his busy schedule.

Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the Humane Society and The Oregon Food Bank in Pops

memory. These organizations were close to his heart, and any donations made would honor his legacy.
