May 23, 1968 - March 9, 2024 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Ronald David Jacobson passed away on March 9, 2024, due to complications related to Alzheimer’s with family by his side. Ronnie was born May 23, 1968, in Portland, OR, to Robert Jacobson and Mary Janet Jacobson. Ron graduated from David Douglas High School in 1989 after completing a pilot Life Skills program for those, like him, with Down Syndrome. Ron began life with a challenge that he rose to meet every step. Ron retired at the end of 2019 after working 33 years in sanitation at the Clackamas Safeway Bread Plant. Ron loved sports, playing pool, golfing, and bowling. He played the guitar at church. He attended the same summer camp for over 30 years (his most cherished week of every year). He was always the first on the dance floor. He had an infectious joy for life. He was known as Uncle Ronnie to many children as he loved them all. In retirement, he loved his weekly workouts with Every Body Athletics and his regular outings, dances, art and cooking classes and bowling with Portland Parks and Rec. He lived most of his life with his mom in Gresham, and after her passing, he joined his sister and brother-in-law in West Linn. Services for Ron will be held at West Linn Lutheran Church on March 17, 2024, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you donate to Every Body Athletics (everybodyathletics.com) and/or Camp Parkview (parkviewservices.org) Ronald D. Jacobson
