ROBIN MARIE PIERCE

June 27, 1957 – October 7, 2023

Robin Marie Pierce, born Robin Marie Erington on June 27th, 1957, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to father Leslie Earl Erington and mother Wilma Lee Schultze. Her childhood was hard, yet filled with good times, Robin loved to dance with her mother in the basement, being with her sister Karen playing and laughing. After losing her father at an early age her mom eventually remarried and Robin soon had a new sister, Lanette whom she also loved.

At age 16 she found herself walking down the street in purple hot pants, black stockings and a tube top with an afro and attracted the attention of her future husband Sid Pierce. Soon after meeting, the two were dating and continued to do so for 7 years. Sid proposed, Robin said yes, Sid replied “Let’s have the wedding July 3rd so I will always remember our anniversary as the day before the 4th of July”.

Married on July 3rd, 1980, in a small ceremony with friends and family present, honeymooned in Seattle and had cocktails in the Space Needle.

In 1985 they had their one and only child, a son Michael, named for Robin’s love of Michael Jackson’s music. She loved music from the 60’s and 70’s that she grew up with.

With the nickname of “Rockin’ Robin” she could bring life to any party, dancing like she was the only one in the room.

A hard worker her whole life, Robin started as a teenager at Dairy Queen, worked as a canner, worked at her sister in law’s business, but was happiest working with the elderly at Greystone and later with her sister in a privately owned retirement home, ending at Cherrywood Village where she had many good days. Always willing to help someone that needed it or step between danger and someone who needed protection.

She loved animals of all sorts, kittens and cats being her favorites. She loved her poodle Sunshine, her kitties; T.C., T-Bone, Missy and Gizmo. Robin was also such a romantic, she loved romantic moves and big gestures of love.

Most of all after 43 years of marriage, she loved her husband Sid with all her heart and her son Michael whom she always made feel special.

People who knew Robin or even met her could not help but fall in love with her, whether it was for 10 minutes or 10 years.

She will be forever missed and loved
