November 7, 1936 - April 12, 2021 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends After a long battle with cancer, Robert Lowell Hauser died in his home on April 12, 2021. He was 84 years old. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Juanita; his stepdaughter Melanie and husband Piotr; his stepson, Angelo and his stepdaughter Rowena. Robert was born on November 7, 1936 in Hebron, ND, to father Theodore Joseph and mother Mertle Pearl. He was raised in a large, loving family with five sisters and four brothers. They relocated to Oregon where Robert grew up until he enlisted. He served both in the United States Navy and United States Army as Sergeant and was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany in the 3rd Armored Division. Shortly after his service, Robert returned to Oregon and began his career as an electrician. Through hard work and resolute determination, Robert established and successfully grew his electrical contracting business, wiring both residential and commercial buildings in the greater Portland metropolitan area. Never letting moss grow beneath him, Robert was constantly involved in many pursuits. He served as president in both the Gresham Chamber of Commerce and the Oregon Independent Dealer Association. He was a long standing contributing member of both the Oregon NECA/IBEW and Elks club as well as an ordained minister for the Church of Divine Man. In his spare time, Robert had many interests from planes and golf to wines and travels. Foremost in his passion were cars. He enjoyed reading about them, driving them, and collecting them. He loved cars so much so that he opened his own luxury used car business inTroutdale. A strong believer in speaking his mind, Robert could debate with the best, especially when it comes to politics. He was direct and fearless with his words. His strong morals and unquestionable character guided him throughout his life. Always available to a friend in need and ready to give sincere advice. When diagnosed with stage four cancer and given months to live, Robert remained a brave, iron-willed man choosing to fight against the odds. His strong will and steadfast faith gifted him over four cherished years with his loving family. Dylan Thomas aptly wrote,
Do not go gentle into that good night, Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Robert was a good, decent man, a loyal friend, a caring husband and a proud step-father. He will be missed beyond words can describe. He will remain forever in our hearts and memories.

Do not go gentle into that good night
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
