I remember Rattan with fondness from the years we both worked at Nationwide Insurance. He was such a kind, polite and good natured person. We spent many hours talking about various topics from photography, our childhoods and families. My thoughts and prayers are with Rattan's family.

I have great memories of Rattan from the years we spent at Nationwide Insurance. Such a good-natured, good man. He was always our Hood to Coast Relay photographer. A great guy. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I always looked forward to visiting with Rattan at our North Bend High School class reunions, and he always attended. I will miss his ever- present happy face and wide smile, and his positive outlook on life. Good men like Rattan make the world a better place. My condolences to his beautiful family.

I am so sorry for your loss. A brother in Christ is truly a blessing we all admire. I did not know him well, but he always came and said hi to me at the reunions. He always had this great smile to offer.

I am a friend, classmate and teammate of Rattan and I am very sorry for his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his close family. I love the photo of him running for the Bulldogs that is one of my favorite memories of him.He was a member of our track team too. I remembering that he was always encouraging and loved celebrating our team victories together .. He has an unforgettable smile at our high school reunions. He enjoyed them sharing photos, cards and emails longer after it was over. What makes me the most disappointed is that I will not be able to attend his celebration today I received this news late and could not change my plans.for his celebration. Please post his slide show on his Facebook page if possible.. RIP BULLDOG! Mickey McCreery

Rattan was such a wonderful friend. We graduated from high school in 1975. He was a kind and peaceful soul. All that went to our 40th class reunion were excited to see Rattan and catch up with him. He was genuine in all aspects of his life. Rest in peace Rattan. Until we meet again... Terry Shockley Crandall Class of '75
