I am sorry to hear of the very loved Mrs Moore. She was a big part of so many lives. I will always remember her at Glencoe. Myself and my sister Claire will always cherish her memory and what she gave to us in our lives. anyone who she touched in her life has been blessed

Mrs. Moore was a great teacher! I was so lucky to have had her at Mt Tabor. She was one of those teachers who could really make a difference with her students. I am so sorry for your loss.

I was privileged to share a classroom with Phyllis for three years at Mt. Tabor Middle School. Thrown together to team teach in a giant open center with up to 60 eight graders, we could not have been any different in temperament, age, style, religion, and teaching technique. But what a joy she was to share a classroom with. And what a patient mentor to me in my early years. I am forever grateful and forever honored for her friendship

Mrs. Moore was a kind hearted teacher. She was new to Glencoe when I was in her class. She taught many things to us as 8th graders . During my Freshman year I came down with «Shingles» and when I saw Mrs. Moore a few weeks later she gave me a hug and said that she had shingles before and that she hoped that I did not suffer from to much pain! I can remember her voice! Prayers and thoughts to all her family and friends.

Mrs. Moore was my brother George Ulrich's favorite teacher at Glencoe. He passed away in 2007 at age 46. I hope her family knows how much her students admired her!

Thanks Caroline for sending me this link. I am a devoted fan of your Mom! She always had nothing but kind and encouraging words for me throughout my life. She was a hard worker and was always involved in something interesting. As far as I could see she was totally devoted to your Dad and you kids....a great Mom, wife and grandmother. Some people make it look easy....and she was one of those! I love her and will miss having her in my life. It has been a joy to have known her since I was 10 years old and to have been a part of her Cherry Wood community, because of Mom, over these last 12 years or so. Our parents friendship and now their gracious aging have been wonderful models for us throughout our lives. I am grateful for what they have taught us. Love you guys, Sue

Phyllis was a wonderful lady. Very sweet, kind, and soft spoke. I enjoyed getting to know her and Jack over the years at Cherry Wood. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and Jack,

Mrs. Moore was my 7th & 8th grade homeroom teacher at Glencoe elementary school. She had high standards for her students. One of my most poignant memories of Mrs. Moore was her reaction to a tree falling over outside our classroom window. It was a windy day and the old plum tree gave way and uprooted itself. The students in the class were ye-hawing and were quite entertained by the spectacle. Mrs. Moore with tears in her eyes quietly admonished us that we shouldn't be celebrating the end of this beautiful tree's life. Today, I am a horticulturist and I will always remember this emotional love of nature. My sympathies to your family

What a thoroughly lovely lady. I was so lucky to have met her through my mom, Juanita Syron, who was a long-time friend of Phyllis. I immediately loved her warmth and sense of humor. One of Phyllis's beautiful paintings hangs in my mother's home; we will continue to think of her every time we see it and will keep you all as her family in our thoughts as well.

Mrs. Moore! She was my language arts teacher at Mt. Tabor Middle School, when she team taught with Mr. Siegel. She shared the love of Shakespeare with a group of goofy twelve year olds, and I remember dearly the joy of the «Comedy of Errors», as she directed us in our first dramatic production. Mrs. Moore was gracious and kind, and firm. I wish I knew her as an adult.
