Peggy Lee Gade

May 1, 1949 – April 25, 2022

Peggy Lee Gade, 72, of Portland Oregon, passed away on April 25, 2022.

Peggy was born on May 1, 1949 to Keith and Shirley Ockey in Ogden Utah. After finishing high school where the family had moved to in the Seattle area, Peggy went on to a trade school to learn Computer Programming.

After graduating trade school, she started her career at United Western Grocers, thereafter kick starting a 25 year career with the television cable company.

In 1984, Peggy met Lee at the Coachman in Kent Washington. Peggy and Lee went on to have a son, Ryan, adding to Lee’s children from previous marriages Leland and Tom, and Krissy and Aaron, completing their family. 

In 2010, Peggy retired and spent her time at home with her family, traveling to see her family in Utah, and spoiling her great nieces and nephews and great grandchildren.

Peggy was predeceased by her father Keith Ockey, her mother Shirley Ockey, her brother Jimmy, her sister Cara, and her sister Lorie. She is survived by her husband Lee Gade, her son Ryan, her stepson Leland, her stepson Tom, her stepdaughter Kris, her stepson Aaron and his wife Kim, her grandson Brandon, her grandson Trevor and his wife Briana, her grandchild Sam, her great grandson Axel, her great granddaughter Jade, and her older sister Judy, along with nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews that she loved dearly.

Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 182nd in Portland Oregon on April 30, 2022 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Foundation, an organization Peggy felt strongly about.
