Pamela Jean Haney

June 26, 1952 – February 11, 2026

Pamela Jean Haney, of Gresham, Oregon

On the evening of February 11th, 2026. Pamela passed away at Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center in Gresham from natural causes. Though her passing was sudden and unexpected, she was surrounded by loved ones who dropped everything they were doing and made their way to the hospital to be by her side. She was 73 years old.

Pamela was born in Portland, Oregon, on June 26th, 1952. She was the first child of five in the marriage of Carol Day and George Brauckmiller.

She spent much of her life in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Franklin High School, where she was in the choir and was an honor student.  For most of her career, she worked in caregiving. It was at one of these jobs, when she was 19, that she accepted a date from one of her co-workers, Stanley Haney. The two fell in love quickly and married within a year.  For their honeymoon, they were going to go up to Mount Hood, but after spinning their VW Beetle around in the snow, they turned back. On January 22, 2026, they celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary.

Caregiving was not just Pamela’s job; it was a deeply ingrained part of who she was, and this showed up in how she cared for her family. After four years of marriage. Stanley and Pamela Haney had their first child, Stanna Haney. A couple of years after that, their first son, Andrew Haney. Then, seven years later, Bruce Haney, their third and final child.  But their own children weren’t all they cared for. Pamela had a huge heart and helped raise a few of her siblings’ children, and as all the kids and grandkids grew, the Haney home became a place where the family could move in and out of as they built their lives.

Pamela had many interests in her life. She was an avid reader. She loved to bake, play bingo, fish, and listen to music. In her later years, she enjoyed playing games on her computer. She also became a football fan. She loved the Kansas City Chiefs.

Pamela was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Day, her siblings, Greg Brauckmiller, Georgette Brauckmiller, and Phyllis Winkler. She is survived by her husband, Stanley Haney, children, Stanna Haney, Andrew Haney, and Bruce Haney. Her grandchildren, Britney Tillman, Matthew Haney, Drew Haney, Benjamin Tillman, and her great-grandchild, Addilyn Tillman. Her niece, Michele Johnson, and her children, Jamie Walton, James Walton, and Mariah Walton. Her nephew, Shawn Walton.
